Your personal data and privacy

The information we hold on you:

  • Your name and address.
  • If optionally given on the application form, your phone number, email address, whether you grow cobnuts and if so the number of trees or hectares, and whether you wish to be on the Kentish Cobnuts Association website.
  • Your email address if you have corresponded with us, for example to book a place on a training session or outing.

How we will use your data:

  • We will not share or sell any of your personal data to any third party. 
  • We will use your name and address to send you the KCA newsletter and other correspondence, such as notices of events.
  • We will only use your email address, if provided, to send you information such as changes to scheduled events.
  • Data on whether you grow cobnuts and how many may be useful to the Association in understanding the interests of members, e.g. in drafting newsletters and arranging events.
  • Your name, address and email address and phone number if provided will be available to the Chair, Membership Secretary and Administrative Secretary/Newsletter Editor. They will be available to other members of the committee if required for correspondence .

We will keep your data:

  • We will keep your data only for as long as it is necessary for the particular purpose or purposes for which we hold it unless there are any legal or operational reasons to hold it for a longer period. At the end of that period the data that we hold will be securely destroyed.
